Here is some specifics about our Therapeutic Riding Program...
We ride all year round, Tuesdays through Saturdays. Each rider is scheduled for a one hour lesson each week A lesson can have just one or up to 5 riders participating, all depending on the abilities of each. We have 20 different lesson times available to fit your schedule.
A lesson typically includes grooming and tacking their horse (based on ability), games, skill progression, and then a trail ride. All with the encouragement and support of our Certified NARHA Instructors and Volunteers.
We ride children 3 and up, as well as adults of any age.
Currently, we have approximately 50 riders in our Program with varied diagnoses which may include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental and/or Speech Delay, Muscular Dystrophy, and Down Syndrome just to name a few. Also, many of their siblings ride too, as this is an activity brothers and sisters can share in together.
Our lesson fee is $30 payable weekly or monthly. However, we NEVER turn anyone away that may benefit from therapeutic horseback riding. We have some rider sponsorships available, and encourage families to seek out support from their Church, workplace or community. Experience has taught us over the last five years, that God will ALWAYS provide!!!
