Our Therapetuic Horseback Riding Program
Who
The Angelic Riders program provides horseback riding to adults and children ages 3 and up who have physical, psychological and developmental disabilities. We have never turned anyone away who would benefit from our service.
What
The hour-long therapeutic horseback riding sessions focus on improving the physical and emotional well-being of the rider through fun, educational lessons. Games, exercises and other activities appropriate for the age and skill level of the rider are used to improve riding skills.
When
We ride all year, Tuesdays through Saturdays, by appointment. Riders have lessons once or twice a week on the same day(s) and time(s) each week.
Where
Riding sessions utilize the riding yard, the covered arena and our sensory trails. Each area is equipped with games, activities and obstacles.
How many
A lesson can have just one or up to 5 riders participating, depending on the abilities and needs of the individuals.
How much
Session fee is $30. Scholarships are available if needed.
