Mephibosheth Farm is nationally recognized by the Professional Association
of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH, Intl).  
Our goal is to share the benefits of horseback riding with those who
experience physical, psychological or developmental disabilities.  
Horseback riding has been shown to improve balance, coordination and
strength.  In addition to these physical benefits participants also
experience increased self-confidence, social awareness and emotional
well-being.

Horseback Riding Lessons and Horsemanship in Marshville, NC

Interested in learning about horses and horsebackriding? We offer horsemanship classes at Mephibosheth Farms Angelic Riders, a therapeutic riding center in Marshville, North Carolina.

General Riding Lessons

In addition to therapeutic horseback riding, we offer basic horsemanship lessons on a limited basis. This program is suited to beginners looking to get a strong horse-focused introduction or anyone just looking to enjoy riding and spending time with horses. Hour long, weekly lessons include basic horseman ship skills such as catching, haltering, grooming, saddling and basic ground work in addition to instruction in the fundamentals of riding. The cost is $40 and funds from general riding sessions go toward sponsoring the costs of therapeutic riding sessions for individuals with disabilities who are unable to contribute financially to the cost of their therapy.
